How unfortunate that your whiteness is blinding you to the realities we Non-white folk have to live with. How can I sit here and say America is as racist as it was sixty years ago? Because the lives of mine and my people are still in danger. Because if I get killed by a cop or a vigilante, it's MY life that'll be searched over with a fine toothed comb to look for ANY reason I might have deserved death. Because businesses can STILL throw away my resume if my name is Juan instead of John, Malik instead of Mark, or Shaniqua instead of Sharon. Because people are getting angrier at a black athlete protesting police brutality, than at police brutality itself. Because WHITE people. be they Democrat or Republican, are more scared of Black Lives Matter starting a Race War, than at the idea that cops are slowly being given the right to kill citizens with impunity. And this is just the tip of the iceberg; there's still more, but you need Critical Race Theory to see the rest.

So yeah. That's why I can say that with absolute certainty. Racism is like Rabies; getting rid of Jim Crow and legal segregation was akin to wiping the foam off the dog's mouth; a nice step on the surface, but the virus is still there and it's killing us. It's killing the US.
